High-temp lead wire is frequently used where the application demands wire that can withstand 150° C to 450° C. Conductors can be nickel coated copper, tinned copper, or pure nickel, while the insulation can range from rubber, PTFE tapes, mica tapes, fiberglass or ceramic braids. Jackets are most often made of high temperature fiberglass.
